About this course

Inner Recovery Insight (IRI)

A practical training for consultants, coaches, and helping professionals who want to read inner recovery with more clarity, more depth, and much better fit.

Many people carry the effects of trauma, abuse, violence, bullying, moral injury, chronic pressure, or long periods of instability. They may still work, care for others, lead teams, and keep life going. Inside, recovery may look very different. A person may live in survival, emotional shutdown, overdrive, collapse, deep searching, or a slowly growing new rhythm. These inner states matter greatly in real conversations. They shape what people can hold, what they can hear, what they avoid, what overwhelms them, and what kind of support will truly help.

Inner Recovery Insight, or IRI, gives you a practical model to read these inner recovery states more accurately. The training helps you move from broad labels to meaningful patterns. It helps you distinguish between the eight IRI areas, recognise movement between them, and understand how Personality Intelligence shapes life inside each area. This gives you a much stronger basis for coaching, guidance, interpretation, and intervention.

What this training gives you

You learn how to recognise the eight IRI areas as real inner recovery states. You learn how to read overlap and movement between them. You learn how the seven Capteer PDA colours change life inside each area. You also learn how to distinguish colour strengths from colour pitfalls, so your reading becomes far more precise and far more useful in real practice.

By the end of the training, you will be able to read people more accurately, explain recovery patterns more clearly, and choose language, pacing, and support that fit the person in front of you much better.

Who this training is for

This training is designed for consultants, coaches, therapists, counsellors, pastoral workers, team guides, leadership professionals, and other helping practitioners who work with people carrying the effects of heavy experiences. It is especially valuable for professionals who want a stronger, more human, and more practically usable reading of recovery than broad symptom language usually offers.

What makes IRI different

IRI reads recovery as a set of recognisable inner states. It helps you see where someone is standing in their recovery right now, how they move under pressure, and what kind of support is more likely to help. The model becomes even stronger when combined with Personality Intelligence. The eight IRI areas show the active recovery state. The seven colours show the style in which that state is lived. Together, they create a much more personal and workable reading.

This is where IRI becomes highly practical. Two people may both be in Fatigue and Collapse, yet one suffers mainly through loss of structure, another through loss of connection, another through loss of agency, and another through loss of meaning. The area is shared. The lived experience is different. IRI helps you see that difference clearly.

What you will learn

Training focus Learning outcome
The eight IRI areas You learn to recognise the core recovery states and the differences between them.
Overlap and movement You learn to read mixed states and movement between areas over time and across life domains.
Personality Intelligence You learn how Paars, Rood, Blauw, Oranje, Groen, Geel, and Zilver shape life inside each IRI area.
Strengths and pitfalls You learn to distinguish where a colour supports recovery and where its pitfalls begin to work against recovery or new life.
Real practice You learn how to translate the model into better language, better pacing, and better intervention choices.

Course structure

The training moves in a clear sequence. First, you learn the core logic of IRI and why it matters in real conversations. Then you work through the eight IRI areas one by one. After that, you learn how the seven colours change life inside those areas and how strengths and pitfalls shape recovery. The training stays practical throughout and keeps building toward stronger real-world use.

Course overview

Section 1 – Introduction
You start with the core logic of IRI, its value in real conversations, the shift from loose symptoms to meaningful patterns, and the professional boundaries of the model.

Section 2 – The 8 IRI Areas
You work through the full recovery map, including Acute Survival, Functional Numbness, Emotional Breakthrough, Overdrive, Fatigue and Collapse, Search for Direction, New Rhythm, Integrated Living, and the movement between these areas.

Section 3 – Personality Intelligence in the 8 IRI Areas
You learn how each colour changes life inside the eight areas. This includes the healthy side of each colour and the pitfall side that can complicate recovery or introduce unwanted patterns into the person’s new life.

What this changes in your work

This training changes how you listen, how you describe what you see, and how you choose your next move. It helps you recognise where someone is in recovery, what style is shaping that experience, where a strength is helping, where a pitfall is getting in the way, and what kind of support has the best chance of landing well. This reduces generic intervention and increases real fit.

It also makes your work more humane. People often feel deeply relieved when their inner life is finally read with more accuracy. They often feel stronger when what they live through becomes more understandable, more nameable, and more workable. That is the real value of this training.

Why this training is worth taking

It gives you a stronger map of recovery.

It gives you better distinction between states that are often confused with each other.

It gives you a much richer understanding of how Personality Intelligence shapes recovery in real people.

It gives you clearer guidance on how strengths and pitfalls influence both healing and the risks that can re-enter new life.

It gives you a practical framework you can actually use with individuals, relationships, teams, and real human complexity.

Final note

Inner Recovery Insight is built for serious practice. It helps you see more clearly, think more accurately, and work more wisely with people whose inner recovery does not fit into simple labels. Combined with Personality Intelligence, it becomes an even stronger tool for recognising what is active, what is helping, what is hindering, and what kind of recovery support truly fits.

For professionals who want a sharper, deeper, and more useful way of reading recovery, this training offers exactly that.
