About this course

Mental Strength

Mental strength shapes how people meet pressure, recover after strain and carry responsibility over time. This course helps you understand that pattern with more precision. You learn to connect mental load, available strength, personality and recovery, then turn the insight into practical coaching and consulting choices.

The training is designed for Capteer consultants, coaches and HR professionals. Familiarity with the Personal Drives Assessment and the A1 interpretation approach gives a useful foundation. Each lesson connects explanation with a case, a practical exercise and a learning check. The cases are learning examples. Your own professional application stays connected with the participant’s experience and your role.

What you will learn

You learn to explain pressure-handling capability, resilience and endurance. You examine the sources and pillars that support strength, read the mental strength curve and distinguish a useful challenge from a pattern of increasing cost. You also learn to ask whether recovery brings someone above, at, below or far below their earlier baseline.

The seven PDA drives help you explore what makes demands meaningful and what keeps a person carrying them. You practise reading healthy contribution, pitfalls and Sharp Edge behaviour through concrete events. The aim is a validated personal understanding that leads to a workable next step.

The course journey

Section 1 builds the foundation: mental strength, its sources, mental load, the productive zone, the full curve and recovery. Section 2 develops the personality lens through the seven drives and a method for reading behaviour. Section 3 connects mental strength with Inner Recovery Insight and its recovery zones. Section 4 brings the work together in diagnostics, coaching, intervention design and a complete professional plan.

IRI is one application of the wider model. Its eight phases help describe changes in feeling, choice and participation around a significant experience. You learn to keep several recovery paths visible and to read movement through time. The curve adds questions about the dose of demand and what becomes available after recovery.

How to use the lessons

Read the explanation, follow the case and complete the practice. Use a consenting practice participant where appropriate or work with the supplied case. Explain your understanding in ordinary language and invite correction. Then compare your answer with the learning check and refine the practical next step.

The final practicum asks you to build a complete coaching or consulting plan. It includes the question, evidence, working explanation, feasible changes, decision owners, support and review. It helps you show that you can use the models coherently and respond to what the participant actually experiences.

What a useful outcome looks like

You can help someone understand what asks too much, what gives strength, which response is becoming costly and which change deserves attention first. You can also explain how you will review the result in daily life, including the cost after effort and the capacity available before the next demand.

Critical notes / reality-check

The course supports professional insight and practice within your competence. Health assessment, treatment and formal fitness-for-work decisions follow the appropriate professional route. The diagrams are qualitative discussion models. Formal certification and assessment arrangements follow the Academy’s approved course settings.

Start with the case in each lesson. Then apply the questions to a situation from your own work. You can also use your own Capteer reports. Keep your notes in the workbook for the final coaching and consulting plan.
